Garden of Eden

Who doesn't immediately think of the Garden of Eden when looking at this apple? But not only in the Bible is the apple of significance. For the ancient Babylonians the apple was a symbol of fertility, and on the mythic island of Avalon, the apple counted as an object of emotion. This variety of meaning in the apple has endured into our time� one must only think of the "Big Apple".
This piece is a homage to the apple, a ceramic sculpture of the highest quality, with a glossy glaze in one of four colours.


Note:
The stalks of the sculptures are made of wood. Depending on air humidity, these stalks may lose some volume. They are easily reattached with some wood glue. Please do not lift these sculptures by their stalks.
