In ancient Egypt pyramids contained golden treasures inside of unspeakable wealth. The designer of this indoor fireplace was inspired by this notion and represented the gold with the living element of fire.
The fireplace is fuelled by bio-ethanol, which is made only from natural substances which is perfect for indoor environments. The burning of the natural bio-ethanol emits only small amounts of water vapour and hardly any more CO² than a candle.
