Age of Camelot
A round table and three "thrones", all individually styled or optionally standardised. Furniture that harks back to a legendary age. This mythical garden setting has been designed by artist and designer Andreas Dorfstecher. Crafted from hardy oak, hewn from the very best timber. The seams have been meticulously joined and secured with wooden nails in the traditional style of carpentry. The workmanship traces, the rough grain, the weathering of the wood - all this makes every piece one of a kind.
Note:
Oak is a natural product, a living material that keeps on "working". The wood is dotted with small splits, contains many knots and imperfections, and changes its colour with time. All this is inherent to this wood and contribute to its character. Sharp edges that emerge with the drying of this wood can be removed or smoothed out using a chisel, plane or sandpaper. The natural tannic acid in the oak wood makes it extremely weather-hardy. Especially after rain, the tannic acid emerges and may cause brown stains on the ground, however these are not permanent and fade with time. This washing-out process may take a few months. Only then should the bench be placed on solid ground such as stone, concrete or a wooden patio.
